About Carmel Pentecostal Church Sweden

Who We Are

Since it is God’s will, from the world to bring forth a nation saved for the glory of His name, to constitute the church of Jesus Christ, which must be built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ Himself as the chief cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20 / 1 Corinthians 3:11).

Because permanent communion among church members is necessary — to provide advice and be instructed in the Word of God for the work of ministry and for the exercise of the spiritual functions provided in the Holy Bible.

This communion, established by God, is sustained by the Holy Spirit, who places evangelists, pastors, missionaries, teachers, and others within the church.

Therefore,

We are recognized members of the body of Christ, and therefore brothers in the faith — all who profess the commandments established by the Holy Spirit as revealed in Acts 2:38-39:

  • “Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
    For the promise is to you and to your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God shall call.’”
    (Acts 2:38-39)

We declare our endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, professing our worship to God, and putting into practice one faith and one baptism, since we have one God and Father of all:

  • “Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace;
    one body and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
    one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
    one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
    (Ephesians 4:3-6)

What We Believe

The Carmel Pentecostal Church embraces the doctrine of the oneness of God, with Christological implications, and practices baptism in Jesus’ name.
Therefore, we are considered part of the Name of Jesus Christ Pentecostals or Apostolics.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God — the infallible guide for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness:

  • “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”
    (2 Timothy 3:16)

The Bible is the only authority given by God to man.
Thus, all doctrine, faith, hope, and instruction for the church must be based upon and harmonize with the Bible.
It must be read and studied by all, and can only be understood by those anointed by the Holy Spirit:

  • “But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you;
    but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.”
    (1 John 2:27)
  • “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,
    for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”
    (2 Peter 1:20-21)
